I don’t even know where to begin with how awesome this weekend was. When Anna at Protein Pow asked if Steve and I would like to help her man the Pow stand at FitCon UK in London, I jumped at the chance. Being asked to be an ambassador for Pow is one of my blogging career highlights, so the idea of spending a weekend surrounding by big names in the fitness industry, making protein treats and telling everyone about the products was awesome. Just check out this video of how the weekend went!

Ever since Steve and I went to BodyPower for the first time, I knew I one day wanted to work on a stand at a fitness expo. It just looked like so much fun and I love talking to people and selling products (I swear, I need to apply for The Apprentice) so it was an experience to tick off my bucket list. And it was everything I could have hoped for – and more! The weekend was just one, big, epically-awesome experience and I hope next year will be bigger and better.

For those who normally go to expos like BodyPower, and went to FitCon, you’ll know it was quiet. It was the first of its kind but the level of athletes there was amazing, and the benefit was no-one had to queue for that long to meet their heroes. One person I really wanted to meet was Amanda Bucci, as I follow her podcast and vlogs, and I managed to just walk right up to her for a chat – she was lovely. I was also a little bit starstruck when Carly Rowena just walked up to us and started chatting -I’m a huge fan of her Youtube channel and I think I fangirled a little bit – and forgot to ask for a photo Doh.

Highlights of the weekend included: Meeting some of my fitness idols; eating my bodyweight in protein treats; finding out (when editing my footage) the legend that is CT Fletcher decided to pose for my camera; watching the Gymshark crew walk in like some sort of Mafia mob (I swear gangster music was playing in my head); spending time with AWESOME people; standing in the queue at Leon and ordering next to film star/ex-wrestler Dave Bautista and having no idea who he was; and discovering Deliveroo and the beauty of having Nando’s delivered to our flat!! The only lowlight was probably our brand new suitcase (which I walked 40 minutes to buy) breaking and Steve having to literally drag it through Kensington. Good memories.

It was such a brilliant weekend for networking though and I met some fantastic people and discovered some great blogs and Instagram accounts! Working with Anna was amazing too – what she has done with Protein Pow is a huge inspiration and she really helped Steve and I talking through goals for our own businesses and ventures. And OH MY GOD THE PROTEIN TREATS!! We made some epic concoctions, including an amazing vegan protein brownie which was kind of made by accident but tasted EPIC – check out the recipe here.

Overall I just had the BEST time and wanted to say a huge thank you to Anna for having us, we can’t wait to represent #TeamPow again and I thoroughly recommend you check out her recipes and buy some of the protein mixes, because they will change the way you bake! (She doesn’t even pay me to say this, can you believe it, ha). I hope you enjoy the video above – if anything just skip forward to the bloopers because they are brilliant!! Here are some photos from the show I stole borrowed from Anna!
