Ok, OKAY, I know it’s only October and everyone’s angry at the supermarkets for bringing out all their festive free from ranges already. I’m pretty sure I’ve heard ‘but it’s way too early’ so many times and you know what? I don’t care. Because the more gluten free treats on the shelves, the better!

You can moan about the early onslaught of Christmas food all you like – and if that’s you, then please do bookmark this page and come back in two months’ time. However, if you’re already stocking up on treats and starting to feel a tiny bit festive, welcome to the grotto.

As usual, there are lots of new gluten free Christmas products out already. I’m not going to bore you with the usual tirade of mince pies and Christmas puddings. Long story short: look in most free from aisles and you’ll find them. Oh no, this post is all about the good stuff.  The shiny, new, exciting products appearing on the shelves you haven’t tried yet.

  1. I live on the ASDA free from salted caramel shortbread it is gorgeous it’s the main gf treat I keep to hand, or the occasion pack of ASDA free from gingerbread men! If you fancy a chocolate version I just use Gü salted caramel chocolate spread which marked as gluten free but hard it find trouble is I usually end up with 2 salted caramel shortbreads as one. Just isn’t enough! They are good to carry too, I have a small air tight container and it takes 2 handy when out and about.

Where did you find the Shár lebkuchen?

I love Christmas makes hubby laugh as when the gluten free seasonal items come in And I spot it it’s “oooohhh goodies that are safe and 8 have a CHOICE”

Asda free from mince pieces mmmmmm…I have some for tonight!

  2. Just that little bit sadder we moved back to the US. 🇬🇧 stores put ours to shame. Bringing an extra suitcase when we visit next summer!

  3. The Tesco Free From Onion Rings are available all the time, not just for Christmas. I’ve been getting them for over a year and they’re better than any ‘normal’ ones. The batter is lovely and crunchy and they have lovely thick onion slices inside.
