I seem to be going through a bit of a phase of eating sausages at the moment – after getting bored of eating so many bacon sandwiches it seemed sausage baps were the next logical step!

And if you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll know that I haven’t found anything that competes with The Black Farmer’s sausages!! (See my review of his Chipolatas and sauces here!)

So when I walked into Asda yesterday to discover that these were on offer (2 for £4!!) I had to buy some!

My delicious sausage sandwich!

As well as the Premium Pork Sausages, I also picked up the Premium Pork, Onion and Chive sausages too – and I’m so glad I did!

Packed with 85% pork, these delicious sausages boast high-quality and look as if they’re full to burst!

I was really intrigued by the onion and chive flavour, and they certainly didn’t disappoint!

Chives are one of my favourite herbs – with a mild onion-type flavour and a gorgeous green colour, the fact that you could see the chives in this sausage rather than cheap flavourings made them even more appealing!

The sausages were packed full of flavour, and you could really taste the gorgeous chives complimenting the meaty, rich sausage.

I had to cut them in half to cook because I was too impatient to try them!

(Apologies if this is sounding like some horrendous innuendo!)

To me, the Black Farmer sausages are exactly how sausages should be – I look at the cheap, squashy sausages I see other people buying and I’m glad I can’t eat them.

Packed full of wheat flour, those sausages have nothing against the 85% meat content of these and with flavours such as this, these sausages are in a league of their own!

I made my sandwich from Juvela Fresh Fibre Rolls – available on prescription. You can see my review of them here.
